No. 6. Another view of No. 5. (Dump Wagon. The floor of the bed is in two sections. The sections were held together with lever-operated chains while the wagon was loaded with dirt or rocks. The wagon was then driven to the unloading spot where the chains were loosened to allows the bed floor sections to drop, "dumping" the load. The wagon's front wheels and bed front were engineered so it could navigate tight turns. A seat could be added. The dump wagon is similar, in principle, to the modern "belly dump" excavation vehicle.)
