Description

Large black and white photo of a plane crash on a snowy mountainside. There are at least two men searching amid the wreckage. Written in pencil on reverse: Peak 13,510, glacier, bomber from March Air Force Base, probably killed instantly. From the accession record: Crash of bomber from March Air Force Base. Men in plane were killed. Peak 13,510 glacier. This plane got off course. It was said to be carrying secret documents. This plane was taken out of Birch Lake in October of 1973 by the Sierra Club.
