Description

Photo of an early vehicle in a desert landscape parked next to a sign that says "water-tanks." There are pipes and a tub beside the vehicle, and what looks like a white shirt drying on some brush. Marjorie Cremer, the sister of Clarence Pape, wrote in blue ink on reverse: Clarence R. Pape was recovering from pneumonia, 1929. His doctor recommended he spend two weeks in Death Valley, which he did, camping in his 1926-1927 Packard. [Marjorie also included her address]
