Color postcard of people frolicking by the pool at the Furnace Creek Inn in Death Valley National Monument. The edges of the postcard are scalloped or irregular. It has ID number 5A-H2011. It is on textured paper.
The back of the postcard was written on, but not sent (no cancellation mark, no stamp). It was addressed to Miss Margrave (Inyo County Librarian) from Riley Shrum, M.D. and was dated November 24, 1936. It says, "This (pool on reverse side) is where we take our pluge if--and when--we do take one in dead of winter in the very depths of Death Valley!"
