Watercolor painting by Kango Takamura. It is one of twelve in a collection titled, "Early Days of Manzanar School, Fall 1942" that was presented to Dr. Genevieve Carter, Superintendent of Education at Manzanar War Relocation Center. It is captioned: "Rest Time in the Nursery Class. It's nap time but there's more noise than rest. The youngsters wriggle around, won't lie still. The teachers look exhausted. The scamp in the foreground turns around 'Hiya pop, whatcha doin?'"
