There is a second train on the tracks behind them that have boxcars and open-top cars (hauling ore?). The town of Death Valley Junction is visible in the background. The postcard was sent to Mrs. C. R. Pape of San Pedro, CA from Death Valley on November 23, 1928. It has a red two cent George Washington stamp. The message just says, "Love CRP."
