Black and white photo of a crowd around the Highway Post Office parked in front of Pines Cafe. This was taken during the inaugural trip of the Highway Post Office from Los Angeles to Bishop. Ceremonies were held at all stopping post offices. During the inaugural trip Obsorne A. Pearson, Assistant Postmaster General, was present for festivites.
