Handwritten in pencil on reverse: Owen is son of Oscar Dearborn and lived years ago at Keeler. E.M.D. 1959.
Information from a possible duplicate accession number (1978.689): Photograph of Owen L. Dearborn taken in 1910 driving a team of eight mules up Cerro Gordo Grade. He was 17 years old. Owen and his father, Oscar P. Dearborn, also hauled freight from Lone Pine to Mojave, and it would take three weeks one way sometimes.Collection
