Mounted hand-tinted panorama photo of Lone Pine with the Alabama Hills and Sierra Nevada mountain range in the background. Large herd of cattle grazing in the pasture. Photo was taken by A. A. Forbes, and is titled, "Mt. Whitney and Lone Pine." The photo seems to have been given Forbes' ID #CT97.
The accession paperwork says that the Mt. Whitney railroad station is in the immediate foreground.
