The Ebell of Los Angeles 1907-1908 yearbook. Front matter features a photo of the Ebell building exterior, and the title page includes the 1719 South Figueroa Street address. Includes table of contents, a short background titled "The Ebell," and sections on Notices, Regulations Concerning Guests, Officers, Directors, Attorney, Standing Committees, and Appointed Committees. Departments include Science, French, Current Topics, Expression, Music, Art and Travel, Shakespeare, Parliamentary Law, Civics, and Books and Conversation. Also includes Annual Report, Treasurer's Report, Membership lists, In Memoriam, Articles of Incorporation, and By-Laws. Interspersed in the pages are photos of the Courtyard, the Auditorium, and the Assembly Hall.
Handwritten sections were added on Gifts, Delegates and Alternates to District Federation, members lists, Business Woman's Rate, Wives of Resident Clergy Rate, and Resignations. Yearbook contains an insert of the California Federation of Women's Clubs list of Officers from 1908 to 1909, listing Mrs. William Baurhyte as Vice-President, Mrs. Florence Collins Porter as District President, Mrs. George W. Jordan as Chairman of Club House Loan Fund Committee, and Mrs. O. Shepard Barnum as Chairman of Education Committee. Also inserted is a news clipping on the election of Mrs. Josiah E. Cowles as First vice-president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs and an article featuring a photo of Mrs. Harmon D. Ryus.Collection
