Issues from October 1921 to June 1922 feature contributing pieces from members on the topics of American citizenship, national and international women's clubs, jury service, public schools, social work, scholarships, books and music, the Disarmament Conference, the Save the Redwoods League, the American School of Music in France, Roosevelt Day, the Ebell Rest Cottage, L.A. landmarks, and national parks. Issues from 1922-1923 cover the topics of the Chautauqua program, the International Conference of Settlement Workers, the California November ballot, the Red Cross, Disabled Veterans of the World War, the Rest Cottage, women's clubs, Save the Redwoods League, the Anderson Memorial Home, and a bond issue to build a central library in Los Angeles.

Context

The Ebell was a monthly bulletin that first ran from 1903 to 1927 as a small pamphlet. The format changed to the Ebell Magazine, a larger format with articles and photos, which ran from October 1927 to December 1934. In January 1935, the Ebell returned to the condensed Bulletin format. The Ebell bulletins changed their name to the Ebell: Magazine of the Ebell of Los Angeles starting with the January 2007 issue. In October 2009, the publication shortened its name to Ebell Magazine. The bulletin format remained the same with the same content. The club meeting location, Cumnock Hall, 1500 South Figueroa Street, appears on the cover of issues from 1903 to 1906. The issues from 1907 to 1927 have the address of 1719 So. Figueroa Street. In the October 1921 issue, the Foreword announces an "amplified" bulletin which includes more contributors, with Mrs. John Stearns Thayer serving as the Bulletin Editor.
