Description

Glass plate negative in envelope labeled "Old Town Mill." View of the Old Town Mill in New London, also known as Winthrop's Mill or Comstock's Mill, in winter c. 1900. The original grist mill at this location dates back to 1650 and was burned in Benedict Arnold's attack on New London in 1781. The current structure may retain some elements of the original design.
