Sepia photograph, "Oldest Baptist Parsonage in America - at Groton, Conn. - Built 1700," mounted on board. Photographed November 1, 1902 by Tingley, Mystic, Conn. Photograph of the second church building used by the First Baptist Church of Groton, built in 1790 near the intersection of Yetter and Cold Spring Roads in Groton. The First Baptist Church of Groton was established in 1704-1705 and is the oldest Baptist Church in the State of Connecticut. Their first church building was constructed about 1718 on the same site.
