Color snapshot of the Ebenezer Avery House on the grounds of Fort Griswold State Park, 1982. The house was built in 1750 on Thames Street and is the site where severely wounded American soldiers were sheltered after that Battle of Groton Heights, September 6, 1781. The house was moved to its present location in 1971-1972.Collection
