5 black and white photographs and 1 color photograph of the Haley House, formerly located at the corner of Candlewood Road and North Road (Route 117) taken July 1982. The house, built c. 1781, was formerly operated as an inn and tavern. It was dismantled and moved from its original location to Welles Road in 1985 to accomodate a road widening project for Route 117 mandated by the CT D.O.T. The stone memorial in the center of the roadway was dedicated to George Washington by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1932.Collection
