Black and white glossy reproduction print of a B & W Picture postcard 5 1/2" X 3 3/4 " (horizontal) Front-angled view of 1813 era Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. The church is a large shingled structure with twin steeples on the front end and croad steps leading up to the entrance. The front door and all of the windows are arched. Earch steep is topped by a Roman cross and the front gamble is topped by a Celtic cross. A large house is visible in the distance in the lower right corner. "Sacred Heart Church, Groton, Conn". hand lettered in black in upper right corner. The original church was builtin 1913 by Morton F. Plant for his Italian immigrant workers, though the congregation included non-Italians. This building was taken down and replaced by the current Sacred Heart Church.
