The NARRAGANSETT was a passenger paddle steamer that was operated by the Providence & Stonington Steamship Company as part of the New York, Providence & Boston Railroad Co.'s Stonington Line. The vessel was involved with a disastrous collision with it's sister ship, the SS STONINGTON and sunk in Long Island Sound on June 11, 1880.Collection
