Admin or Biographical History: Isaac Wheeler Denison was born in Stonington December 20, 1751, the son of Capt. Daniel Denison Jr. and Esther Wheeler Denison. He served in the Militia Company commanded by Capt. William Stanton of the 8th Connecticut Regiment of State Militia during the Revolutionary War. Census records from 1880 and 1810 indicate that he wa also a slave owner.
Isaac married Eunice Williams of Old Mystic on November 19, 1773 and the couple had 11 children. At the time of his death, on February 4, 1817, he owned land in Stonington and Groton.
