Research Notes

Notes

Henrietta was a schooner of 205 tons designed and built by George Steers, designer of the famous schooner yacht America. Owned by James Gordon Bennett, she was highly competitive and well known for her unprecedented transatlantic victory of 13 days, 22 hours and 40 minutes to win the great Ocean Race of December 11, 1866.
