This Pathé "Coq" ( rooster) of 1904 was known as the "reversible" model. The machine was screwed to the lid of the box, and could be inverted for storage. The machine was equipped with a removable manderel to play mid-sized (3 1/2" diameter) Pathé "intermediate" cylinders. To change between the regular and "inter" records required an adapter for the reprocucer like you can see it here.
