Mt. Mansfield in Winter (1895)

Landscape of Mt. Mansfield in Winter: An oil painting of a Vermont winter landscape with Mt. Mansfield in the background. The foreground of the painting shows snowy hills dotted with evergreen trees. On the left is a sleigh being pulled by two horses. The snow and the mountains are coloured with blues and purples. A clear blue sky, with a few scattered white clouds, is painted above the mountains. Some of the trees are clearly unfinished and the painting is not signed.
