Winter Morning (1926)

Painting of a Winter Village

The painting depicts a quaint village on a winter morning. In the foreground, a wooden fence crosses the painting, with a figure by a small fire, its smoke rising into the air, within the fenced area. There are a few homes with snowy rooftops and tall, barren trees around them. The background shows a light blue sky with streaks of pink and some clouds. In the lower-left corner it is signed 'Dorothea Taber Stafford'.
