Context

Model created for Archaeology Course: Introduction to Archeology, under Professor Dianna Stifter Not to be confused with graves, burial mounds are one of the most numerous types of burials found in archaeology, and can be found throughout the world, including North America, Europe, and Asia. Often clustered in groups or lines, they can be large or small. Where they are found intact, grave goods suggest that the larger the mound, the higher the status of the individual buried.
