Neanderthal was a species of hominid which lived between 400,000 years ago and 40,000 years ago. Neanderthals could be found from Central Asia, Southwest Asia, and the Mediterranean Sea. Neanderthals went extinct due to factors such as competition with humans over resources and climate change.
