Cowrie Shell Necklace

Name/Title

Cowrie Shell Necklace

Entry/Object ID

E-41

Description

Necklace made up of assorted sizes of cowrie shells strung on a blue monofilament. The necklace is very stiff and thick, due to the many shells used to make it. The shells are yellow and white in color, with blue-grey on the tops of all of them. The smaller shells on the edges are loose, but the monofilament line is not frayed, and none of the shells are chipped or broken.
