Context

Discovered in Hadar, Ethiopia on November 24th, 1974, by Donald Johanson and Tom Gray, Lucy is the oldest known Australopithecus afarensis skeleton ever found dating back 3.2 million years. Skeleton on display is a cast as original Lucy skeleton is located in the Museum of Ethiopia located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
