A thin, orange sheet with a black print of the Grim Reaper holding a guitar.

Use

It was mostly likely used as decoration during The Day of the Dead. Death is celebrated during the holiday so any symbolism of death (La Catrina, skulls, skeletons, etc) is seen in the days leading up to the holiday.

Context

The Grim Reaper is a symbol of death in many cultures. The Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and it is the celebration of life and death. Rather than grieving the lost of loved ones, it is a time to celebrate them in life and in death.
