Fish Trap Anchor

Name/Title

Fish Trap Anchor

Entry/Object ID

E-2

Description

A fish trap anchor made of wood and plant fibers. The plant fibers have been woven together and braded to form a rope, which is slightly fraying, and tied around the anchor. The anchor itself has a small, bored hole on one side, and two small scratches, probably due to handling. A very light anchor, it is possible this might have been made of tourists.

Use

Possibly used in the capture of fish, in conjunction with a fish trap.
