Context

Samoan ili (fan) can be adorned with feathers as seen here. Uses of ili's vary but they're mostly used as a hand held fan. They can even be used as decoration.

Condition is fragile. Damaged with feathers falling out. Was treated for an insect infestation in 2003. Handle with extreme care. Slight musty smell, sort of like dirty feathers.
