A special high speed interrupter for induction coils that pump mercury through a rotating spiral pump and project it against insulating teeth inside of a cast iron chamber. Often used to generate X-Rays when more power is needed than attainable with mechanical silver or platinum mechanical interrupters, or when specific break rates are needed.
