Use
Static generator for medical use, late 1700s. Includes insulating stool and motor point electrodes. Cuthbertson made the largest static machine in the world (at that time period), which is on display in Haarlem at the Teylers Museum in Holland. This machine is based off of that design.
Context
Purchased by Daniel Cuscela from the Eli Buk Collection, auctioned off at Grogan & Co in Boston in 2013.
