Snook / Victor 10KW Instantaneous X-Ray and Radiotherapy Machine with timer, Victor filament transformer, Kearsley regulator, and accessories.Use
It could make an instantaneous X-Rays and was advertised as making a better radiograph of a living heart than its competitors could make of a cadaveur heart...yet ironically was found in the attic of a morgue...(that used to be a Sanitarium). It weighs more than 1200 pounds and had to be carried to the ground floor down several spiral staircases piece-by-piece. The 200kV transformer alone weighs over 650 pounds.Context
Generously on loan from Dr. Daniel O. Cuscela. The machine is unique in that it has a synchronous rotary rectifier...because diodes of any kind had not been invented yet.Collection
