Dear Brother,
It is now over a month since I last heard from you. although I have written about Two Weeks ago, I have received no answer yet it seems by that that letters do not go through very safe therefore I will again write a few lines to you. when I wrote last our Regt was a Murfreesboro, we staid[sic] there untill[sic] the 30th ult. we got our pay on the 28th same month, and then left for the above Station, on the aforesaid date, where we arrived at about 2 PM the same day. I believe I forgot to write you before of the nice and comfortable buildings we had built while here before, the cabins are made of cedar logs, the size of the cabins is 8 by 12 and about 8 feet high.
When we arrived here again all the Col. had to say was to your Quarters March when nearly every man in the Regt knew where to go to. I think that that is a very uncommon thing in the Army. I think there are not many Regts in the service that have as good and nice Quarters as we have.
How long we shall stay here I can not tell some think that we shall stay here till the war is ended, but as one who has been in the Army as long as you knows nobody can tell for certain. But I know of no news, that are worth noticing so I will close but not before giving you and all the rest of the Addison Squad, my best respects.
Yours
A.H Fischer
P.S.
I heard that Bradford Wakeman is fifemajor in your Regt. write soon and let me know all about the boys of my acquaintances.
