Sidewalk scene at the Century of Progress 1933-34 Chicago World's Fair. Foreground is brick paving with cement steps leading to a lower level. A similar set-up is to left center of photo with steps leading down from a fiarly tall building. Part of a fountain is at left edge. A row of buildings leads away from center. Slender evergreens are dotted about the plaza and other small trees are in two groups. View is along the lagoon and the lake is in background. Pedestrians are numerous. A giant figure of a man is in center and a cut-out of a sailor. A starburst on a pole is in the distance. On front of one building "GARDEN AND FLOWER Show." Photo is mounted on ecru paperboard mat.
