Courtyard of the Chrysler Motors Building at the Century of Progress 1933-34 Chicago World's Fair. This interior shot at floor level shows dramatic light/dark contrast. Two levels of stairways are beyond people walking, standing or sitting around a circle with a low trimmed edge. A section of sky with clouds shows through an opening above the stairs. The sun lights up the left side of the photo. The right side looks dark. Above the landing is "PARISIAN SALON second floor." Above the stairway is "DE SOTO" on the left and "CHRYSLER" on the right. Photo is mounted on ecru paperboard mat.
