Description

A sidewalk scene from the Century of Progress 1933-34 Chicago World's Fair, with Illinois Host and Sears Roebuck Buildings in the background. Pedestrians fill a plaza between the white Illinois Host Building and a structure with large molded or carved figures supported by diagonal beams under which people are walking. Tower of the Sears building is in the center and a dirigible is in the sky beyond the buildings. Small trees are spaced about the plaza. Photo is mounted on ecru paperboard mat.
