Writing in red ink on the back (probably by donor) reads "Built-? S-E Corner of Emroy & North Ave. Also called New Field School. I went to school there in 1939 to 1945 Except 1940 I was at I.C. School." (Field School was designed by Elmhurst architect E. Norman Brydges and built in 1930.) Writing in white on the front reads "11238 Eugene Field School, Elmhurst, ILL."
