On front: typed caption and number 937 On back: Rectory built 1876-1877. Rev. Charles Becker assigned as first resident pastor of St. Mary's, Aug. 1876. Remained one year. He lived in the home of Daniel Egan while the rectory was being built. Rev. Moczgemba enlarged the rectory in 1890. In 1899 the rectory and land owned by St. Mary's Parish was traded for the site of the present rectory, 265 York. Then Father Zilla erected a small one-room school and a convent for the sisters, a new church and the present rectory.
