on back: Emery, William H, Sr. In 1889 came to Elmhurst and purchased the Wadhams Farm of 70 acres which he subdivided, spent $100,000 on developing area in south Elmhurst. Active in Elmhurst- Board of Education member Pres. Elmhurst Golf Club and one of founders of Elmhurst Spring Water Co and Elm Electric Light Co.
