Green silk satin with embroidered floral design and central pair of flaming hearts on reverse. The interior compartmentalized interior is lined with pink silk brocade. The complex embroidery includes metallic wrapped core (bullion), elaborate couching, and fine shaded embroidery.

The symbolism tells exemplifies that this pocketbook was presented with great affection; on the back of the purse are two scarlet hearts aflame with cupids arrows piercing each. As the purse opens, the design of the ornamentation and the shape of the overlapping flap compliment each other beautifully.
