The composition is that of a floral arrangement in a two-handled pot in hollie work set onto green-dyed vellum. The fine stitches were used to form the patterns, motifs and letters and, the deep green color enhances the open work.Trailing floral vines grow from the central pot with two hollie work squares, each with one initial , are mounted on either side of the pot; early 18th century two-sided reeded frame.Context
