Description

The rectangular case with hinged lid decorated with a cream silk overlaid with sewn central floral design and cornered by blue flowers including copper metal embroidery opening to green satin lined interior.

Context

This box came with a card inside that said, "Copy of Louis XIII medicine Chest. Original seen in Albert and Victoria Museum, Kensington." Someone loved it enough in the museum to go home and replicate it.
