Pudlo Pudlat Inuit/Cape Dorset, 1916–1992 Spirits in the Arctic, 1989 Stonecut Collection of the C.N. Gorman Museum, UC Davis. Gift of Gloria and Selig Kaplan. Pudlo Pudlat is an Inuit artist known for depictions of modern technology that brought major changes to his home of far Northern Canada. The artist also drew images inspired by spirits from Inuit folklore. The Inuit People believe both dogs and birds are connected to the spiritual world.
