A wrangler brings supplies from one High Sierra camp to another, a practice that remains largely unchanged since the camps opened in the 1920s. Many continue the tradition today, saying it’s the best way to see Yosemite — particularly its rugged backcountry — but there are fewer and fewer outfits offering such trips.
