Marwin Begaye points to the Navajo concept of “hozhó” as his guiding principle. This concept refers to the pursuit of immersing one’s life in beauty. Begaye finds beauty in elements of his Navajo heritage and incorporates them into his artwork. This includes birds and patterns inspired by his grandmother’s weavings.
