This is the wound we came out of, 2018 Dao Strom Image-text fragments from "You Will Always Be Someone From Somewhere Else" found photographs, poetry, image-text collage Dao Strom is an artist who works with three “voices”—written, sung, visual—to explore hybridity and the intersection of personal and collective histories. The author of five books and two song-cycles, most recently Instrument/Traveler’s Ode, a multimodal poetry, art, and music project consisting of a book and album (jointly released by Fonograf Editions and Antiquated Future Records, 2020), Strom was born in Vietnam and grew up in the Sierra Nevadas of California.
