TNA.06Description
I’ve been here for five years. I got married in Nigeria, and I came here to join my husband, who is an American. We have one child, and we’re planning to have another one. I wanted to become a citizen because there are a lot of things going on right now. If you’re a citizen you are free to serve the country and also to say what you think and do what you want without fear that something will happen, that you will be deported.
It feels so good to be a citizen because it’s for the rest of your life. It’s a very big day for me. I feel so good and so honored. I’m so grateful to be a citizen. Imagine you wish for someone to be President, but you cannot vote for them because you do not have that right. But then you become a citizen and you do have that right to vote; you can say, “I want this person to be my President.” Collection
