In Mourning

Photographer Ricardo Alvarado stands at his uncle's casket. Ciriaco Ocreto raised this young man in the United States. In exchange for room and board, Ciriaco and his nephews Ricardo and Marcelo worked as houseboys for the Schiller family in San Francisco by day. At night they worked as dishwashers in North Beach restaurants.
