“California Cuisine” is the clever buzzword that lures tourists and residents alike into the expensive restaurants that abound in our Golden State. But what is behind the glitzy and alluring bounty? Farmworkers still labor in miserable conditions with extremely low pay to grow and harvest that elegant produce. And food insecurity exists everywhere in the state - a huge number of people, even those who work, cannot afford to purchase food for their families.
