The beauty of nature can be found throughout the Golden State. A few years ago, I spotted an outcrop of coneflowers along the side of the road at an open-air quilt show in Winters, CA. The photos I took became the inspiration for this piece. I wanted to make a “happy piece” to bring joy to the viewer.
